Getting started

New to Discord?

Follow these steps to install the messaging app and join the conversation.

  1. Download and install.
    Visit the Discord download page, choose your device, and follow the installation instructions.
  2. Sign in or create an account.
    Open the app and log in. If you’re new, create an account and complete any verification prompts.
  3. Join the server.
    Return to this page and select Join Discord. Accept the invitation, then follow any welcome steps and read the server rules.
  4. Find your conversation.
    Choose a text channel from the channel list to read updates or send a message. If you need assistance, follow the server’s support instructions.
